Cellucor D4 Thermal Shock vs. D4 Extreme

Cellucor is now carried at Bodybuilding.com after being exclusively sold at GNC. Cellucor offers two fat burning thermogenics of which are named D4 Extreme and D4 Thermal Shock. They are basically the same supplement with Thermal Shock containing more stimulants and the stronger of the two products.

D4 Extreme:
The weaker of the two supplements, D4 Extreme is still a potent product. After reading many reviews, users shouldn’t have any problem taking the full dosage and experiencing the jitters or anxiousness. Per serving the Extreme version contains 250mg of caffeine.

D4 Thermal Shock
The Thermal Shock version of D4 is definitely the stronger of the two containing both caffeine ( 290mg per serving) and yohimbine. It is highly suggested that users start with a low dosage and work their way up to the recommended 4 capsules per day. Many who have used D4 Thermal shock have experienced jitters after taking taking the supplement. If you are sensitive to stimulants, begin with the Extreme version and work your way up the the stronger version.

Either way before taking D4 Extreme or D4 Thermal Shock make sure you have your diet in order. Remember there is no miracle pill. These supplements will only aid you in your weightloss, they are not the answer.

Cellucor’s M5 Extreme is a pre-workout supplement that has been getting rave reviews from many in the bodybuilding community. Cellucor claims this product will:

My Review:

M5 Extreme is somewhat like another Cellucor product called N0 Extreme. The difference between the two is that N0 is more of a vasodialator and M5 is more of a complete pre-workout training supplement. Both supplements contain an arginine component and caffine. However, M5 also contains creatine and waxy maize, which N0 does not.

You certainly know the benefits of creatine and why it is the most popular muscle building supplement in the bodybuilding community. M5 contains a special creatine they call Megnapower. The problem is these special forms of creatine do not provide any other additional benefits when compared to regular creatine monohydrate. So you end up just spending more money for a creatine that has no addtional benefits. I would have been very satisfied if they just added regular old monohydrate in the formula and priced the M5 a little less.

The other unique ingredient in M5 that N0 doesn’t contain is waxy maize. Waxy maize acts as a simple sugar just like dextrose would. Simple sugars are great to take pre training because it will give you an immediate source of energy and help you delay the use of muscle glycogen.

As far as M5 Extreme goes, my buddy allowed my to try it for two training sessions. It easily missed with no problems. Also the fruit punch flavor tastes pretty damn good. The vascularity and energy boost were noticeable and quite surprising. Unlike No-xplode that I normally use, M5 gave me energy my entire 1:15 workout (which was exactly what I was looking for).

Just like all other Cellucor products, M5 extreme is more expensive than most pre workout supplements. However, if you have some extra cash to spend on supplements, I would highly suggest this. If you are on a budget, I suggest BSN’s No-Xplode. Try both and see what works best for you. If money was not an option, I would definitely stick with Cellucor’s M5 Extreme.

My Review:

There are three instances that you will need this product.

1. As PCT

If you have decided to take a PH (pro-hormone) is this is a good choice to get your natural testosterone back to base line. I will not be discussing proper PCT techniques here. You can’t find that information on various bodybuilding forums.

2. Your Natural Test Levels Are Declining

If you are in your late teens or twenties you will not need P6 Extreme. The reason being if you are in that age group, your natural test levels are at the highest they will ever be. Taking this supplement will give you little benefit if any. However, if you are in your thirties or forties and looking for a way to boost your gains, this is a great choice. Because by the time you get to be that experienced (old), your natural test levels are dropping slightly each year.

3. Your Dieting

This is the scenario in which I used P6 Extreme. I was going through a heavy cut with a large calorie deficit. This caused me to constantly feel lethargic and in turn have pretty crappy training sessions. I buddy recommended this supplement to me and I decided to give it a go. I took a 6 week cycle and started feeling its effects within the beginning of the second week. It gave a good shot of energy in the gym and throughout the day. It also helped me retail more muscle mass during my cut.

The only down side to this product is the price. You get 60 capsules for $70.00 and 120 caps for $120.00. For my cycle I took 2 caps pre-workout and 2 post training. And on off days, just 2. Overall, I believe P6 Extreme is worth it if you fall into one of the 3 categories above.

Cellucor is a new supplement company that is taking the bodybuilding community by storm. The have released product after product with consistently positive reviews. I personally have not heard a bad thing about any of their products from friends that have tried the Cellucor line. So I have been taking Cellucor N0 Extreme for the past week. My buddy gave we a weeks cycle worth of the fruit punch. I have been taking BSN’s No Xplode for a while now, so I thought I would mix it up and try something new.

I really like this product. It is comparable to No Xplode in every category including focus, vascularity, and energy. The one spot that N0 Extreme excels is in the duration that I feel its effects. I can feel that surge in energy during the course of my entire workout unlike No Xplode whose effects usually die out in about 45 minutes. Even though N0 doesn’t contain as much caffeine as NO Xplode, it does contain beta alanine, which is my new favorite supplement. Beta alanine delays muscle fatigue and allows you to train longer and harder.

I highly recommend this product. So if your on a budget I recommend No Xplode, but if you can some extra cash to spend, I suggest you try out N0 Extreme.

I have not taken Cellucor N0 extreme yet, but I will be trying it out after I have used up all my NO-Xplode. The reason I am righting this review right now is because I have heard great things about it. There is a huge buzz around this product and I am excited to see what results anyone has gotten from it.

My friends have told me that it is the best pre training supplement they have tried and it blows BSN’s product away. The only bad thing however is the price. You get 36 packets for $70 (dosage: 2 packets pre training), but you can use coupons to save a little cash.

I am looking forward to see what results people have gotten using Cellucor N0 Extreme so please write some reviews. I will give it ratings of 3′s across the board until I have tried it.
