Cellucor P6 Extreme Review: Boost Your Testosterone Levels

122 comments

There is a lot of hype right now on bodybuilding.com about the Cellucor brand. I recently got my hands on P6 Extreme from a buddy of mine that was not going to use it. I really had no clue what it was prior to my friend giving it to me. After researching and taking a cycle of it, I now can right a valuable p6 extreme review.

What Cellucor P6 Extreme Claims To Do:

P6 extreme reviewP6 Extreme was designed to enhance natural testosterone production via multiple biological pathways. It harnesses biological processes through orthologous hormones, provides plant-based phytosterols, enhances the rate at which the body synthesizes testosterone, and inhibits factors that limit testosterone production. P6 Extreme enhances natural testosterone levels while preventing the harmful side effects associated with other similar products.

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) has been used clinically as a pharmaceutical agent in the treatment of hypogonadism as well as to increase fertility. hCG works by activating the Luteinizing Hormone/Choriogonadotropin (LHCG) receptors of the pituitary gland. The activation of these receptors causes the body to release a large surge of luteinizing hormone (LH) from the pituitary gland, similar to the onset of puberty. It then sends a chemical signal to the testes to increase steroidogenesis (production of androgen hormones) and sperm production in males. You can read more here about P6 Extreme and its components.

P6 Extreme Review:

There are three instances that you will need this product.

1. As PCT

If you have decided to take a PH (pro-hormone) or something stronger, this is a decent choice to get your natural testosterone back to base line. I will not be discussing proper PCT techniques here. You can’t find that information on various steroid/bodybuilding forums. Here’s my favorite Click Here.

2. Your Natural Test Levels Are Declining

If you are in your late teens or twenties you will not need P6 Extreme. The reason being if you are in that age group, your natural test levels are at the highest they will ever be. Taking this supplement will give you little benefit if any. However, if you are in your thirties or forties and looking for a way to boost your gains, this is a great choice. Because by the time you get to be that experienced (old), your natural test levels are dropping slightly each year.

testosterone decline by age

Declining Testosterone Levels By Age

3. Your Dieting

This is the scenario in which I used P6 Extreme. I was going through a heavy cut with a large calorie deficit. This caused me to  constantly feel lethargic and in turn have pretty crappy training sessions. A buddy recommended this supplement to me and I decided to give it a go. I took a 6 week cycle and started feeling its effects within the beginning of the second week. It gave a good shot of energy in the gym and throughout the day. It also helped me retail more muscle mass during my cut.

Another solution when you are dieting is supplementing with zinc if you are on a heavy diet. If you are zinc deficiet, it will effect your testosterone levels negatively.

The Not So Good

The only down side to this product is the price. You get 60 capsules for $70.00 and 120 caps for $120.00. For my cycle I took 2 caps pre-workout and 2 post training. And on off days, just 2. Overall, I believe P6 Extreme is worth it if you fall into one of the 3 categories above. You can read another P6 Extreme Review here if you are still unsure.

I just looked on amazon and you can get a good deal there. Here’s the p6 product page.

What makes this product different then other t-boosters? Is it better then Novedex XT? Why is your natural test-booster P6 extreme more priced then other natural test-boosters? Please help me understand why you claim this product to be above all other test-boosting supplements.

2 Admin March 21, 2010 at 1:52 am

Well most of the Test-boosters on the market are quite similiar. If they differ, they usually include substances that are or will be banned by the FDA. This product , P6 used to have andro components until the FDA pulled the plug.
More info on that can be found here
http://blogs.cellucor.com/company/2009/55/

While this product now just contains various extracts, Novedex contains more “hardcore” ingredients and should only be used for PCT. So if you are looking for something after a PH or gear cycle, Novedex is a better choice. I like this product because I have tried a few test-boosters and have felt no effects. The results I received from this product were what I was looking for.

I’m a freshmen in high school and am currently taking m5, it works great but I want greater results… I know by ur facts that it might do little or no results taking p6 at my age, but I’m willing to atleast try it… Before I do that though I wanted to make sure it was safe for someone my age to be taking it?thanks

4 Admin April 14, 2010 at 1:25 am

Hey Max,

Honestly, I would not even bother with a test booster at 16. Right now your natural test levels are as high as they will ever be and taking a boost will have no effect. What are your goals? Gain muscle? Loose Weight? Let me know and I’ll point you in the right direction. Also remember that supplements are just aids. Nothing will produce better results than consistent training, proper diet, and rest.

5 Max April 14, 2010 at 4:32 pm

My goals are to gain muscle, alot of it, and some of my year older friends take it and they say it works really good and it shows, they use it for getting healthy and muscular before footballs season starts, and they’ve convinced me that I should too

6 Admin April 14, 2010 at 9:33 pm

At your age I would suggest you stick with the basics:

whey protein
creatine mono
multi-vitamin
pre-workout supp

and I just started using beta-alanine and I am having great results with that.

7 Max April 14, 2010 at 11:19 pm

I also take whey protein and m5 is my pre workout supplement, but thanks alot for the info

8 Johnny January 8, 2011 at 12:31 am

Hey, I am 24 and used to weigh 314 Pounds, I have been doing the Low Carb High Protein Diet for a year now, so basically i was eating alot of meats and tried to take in as less carbs as possible, plus i started hitting the gym with my brother, we lift for 1 hour and 30 min(usually do 2 muscles a day) and run 3 miles afterward. Iam now 207 pounds and me and my brother decided to give P6 Extreme a try. Cuz we wana gain as much Muscle Mass as we can and still keep loosng the fat. We take Jack3D Pre-Workout and Whey Isolate after. Do you have any tips? Do you think P6 will work for me to get what im looking for?

9 Admin January 8, 2011 at 11:09 am

@Johnny
I don’t think P6 is the best choice because at 24 years old your test levels are still near their maximal levels. Taking P6 would have little to no effect.

Instead, have you tried taking a creatine(Cr) monohydrate? It will help with your gains in the gym.

Some tips with Cr,
If you take it pre workout, take it with some juice. You need a quick carb source to raise insulin levels to drive the creatine into the muscle.

You should be taking a fast digesting carb post workout along with your whey so no need for juice then.

Let me kno if you have any more questions.

hey i just bought a p6 and im 19 years old 152 pounds heres the question while i be taking this will i get any side effects such as acne liver damage etc…. since i cant take it back any more and i dont wanna trow 120$ to garbage what should i do ?

11 Admin January 18, 2011 at 1:48 pm

@sam
Hey Sam,

You should be fine. I just did some googling on the ingredients and on none of them I found caused harsh side effects. I also checked some forums and no one had reported bad sides either. This tapered down version of p6 contains extracts, nothing equivalent to a prohormone.

12 Michael January 18, 2011 at 3:13 pm

Hey, I am 23 5″11 and 228 pounds. I am pretty thick, not fat at all but just want to shrink the belly fat. I was told P6 extreme does that. My concern is that it’s going to make me blow out and get bigger. If I take it and diet the appropriate way with cardio mixed in my workouts, will it do what I am looking for? According to GNC this is the perfect product for what I am looking for. Thanks!

13 Admin January 18, 2011 at 8:57 pm

@Michael
Michael,

I think the guy at GNC is just trying to make a sale off you. I would save your cash. Get your diet inline and if you want to supplement with something, look for something that will speed up your metabolism. If your on a budget you can drink a cup of coffee pre cardio/a cup during the day. If you got some money to blow, I had to results with Oxy Elite Pro or try some green tea extract. You can get that pretty cheap. But remember everything starts with your diet. Supps won’t help if that ain’t in order. Hope that helped.

14 Brett January 20, 2011 at 1:35 pm

Hey, my name is Brett and I have been thinkin about taking the P6 supplement. I am 28 years old and am expirencing low sex drive. Is is wise to consider this product if used in moderation to imporve test. levels for sex drive?

15 Admin January 20, 2011 at 7:32 pm

@Brett

Brent,
Thanks for the question. If I were you, I would talk to a doctor about it. They can point you in a better direction than I can when it comes to increasing libido. I did find a possible solution though you may want to look at, I did some research and a low libido may be caused by a zinc deficiency in your diet. You can read more about it here http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/articles-submit/jeff-anderson/sex-testosterone-muscle.html.

Hope that helps

16 Sam January 20, 2011 at 8:25 pm

I am 20 years old, 130lb. I purchased the p6 extreme 120caps. I was wondering whats the proper usage of p6 because i use jack3d for pre-work out and then celltech hardcore for post. thanks

17 Admin January 22, 2011 at 12:15 am

I would follow the directions on the back and adjust from there if you need to.

18 Sam January 23, 2011 at 5:28 pm

ow ok then i will start taking it again… i did a lot of searching as well some experienced bodybuilders say that ur testosterone levels are really high when ur like 19 and 20 … and it can mess ur system up … and will i lose weight if i do a full cycle or gain weight? cuz i dont really wanna lose any weight took me long time to go from 130 to 155 ish .

19 Jason Y (Same as Admin I Changed The Name : )) January 25, 2011 at 11:01 am

@Sam
Sam,

At 20, P6 will have very little effect because your natural test levels are already at their peak,

Whether you gain weight or loose weight depends on your caloric intake. If you eat above your maintenance value you will gain weight, if you eat less calories you will drop weight. Don’t make it more complicated than it really is.

20 Kevin March 9, 2011 at 12:29 pm

I am currently 22 years old and sitting around 215 (9% BF) at 6’3”. I am on a pretty strict diet and hardcore gym enthusiast. I am slowly but surely working my way back to bigger, stronger, and faster. My workouts are producing results, slow results, but results none the less. I know to get 20” inch arms and a 400 lbs bench take time. I will get there….eventually. Like everyone else i want to get there fast though. Currently I use whey, casien, multi, bcaa’s, and a pre workout. My diet is on point. Will P6 get me stronger and bigger. I know my test levels are high now, but I want a little extra. Is P6 worth the investment? And if not what whould you suggest to see results faster? Right now, my main lifts are going up about 3-5 lbs every 10 days or so. I am happy with that, but i cants stress enough that i want to get bigger and stronger faster.
Thanks

21 Jason Y March 9, 2011 at 1:20 pm

@Kevin
Hey Kevin,

Thanks for the comment. Appreciate it.

Honestly at your age I would go with something else other than a test booster. Have you tried a creatine supplement? You could go with a regular old creatine mono or a more advanced form of creatine (which claims to increase absorption rates and reduced bloating look, but also more expensive).
Check out this: http://www.supplementreviews.com/scifit/kre-alkalyn-1500

I ordered myself some this last night cuz I wanted to give it a try (has good reviews). If you are trying to save money, go with the Cr mono. Nothing wrong with the mono.

Let me know if you think this is a good solution for ya. Creatine will help with strength and a little size. Whenever I take Cr, my strength gets a good boost, but when I cycle off it drops a little. End the end though, I always get a net increase in strength overall.

Way to go with diet. You are in the minority in that respect.

Jason

22 Kevin March 9, 2011 at 5:04 pm

@Jason Y
Thanks Jason for the response. I have been scared to use creatine due to everyone commenting on the bloating and loss of strength and size. Although everyone’s body is different, too many people have complained on that. I just want the size that I add to be pure, lean muscle and the strength to stay, even after the cycle. If I try the creatine I will let you know. Thanks

23 Chase C. March 10, 2011 at 9:45 am

Yes, I was wondering about P6 and R3, I am only 16 turning 17 but most of my friends that take this are my age and show big improvments. I was wondering if stacking P6 and R3 would give me improvements. Currently I am taking Muscle Milk, Creatin, Jack3d and Whey. Is is safe to add P6 and R3 ontop of what I am using already? Would P6 and R3 benifit me? Or would I be wasting my money? I am trying to bulk up fast and when I seen my friends do it they were gaining about 4-6lbs in about a week to two weeks time on just P6.. Help!
Thanks.

24 Thomas March 10, 2011 at 4:21 pm

I am a 28 y/o male. Weight 152. Trying to get up to about 165. I just purchased P6. I am also taking cell tech and whey protein and multi vitamins. Do you suggest I do anything different to put on lean muscle mass? I am trying to bulk up for Summer.

25 Jason Y March 13, 2011 at 5:00 pm

@Chase C.
R3′s main ingredient is Glutamine. There is much debate whether glutamine is beneficial to weight lifters other than for immune support. I would not spend the $62 that R3 costs. Way to expensive for what you would be getting. If you wanted to try out a glutamine product, you can find l-glutamine supplements much cheaper.

The P6 is your call. At almost 17, I would save your money though. I would stick to what you are taking now. Just remember this sport takes PATIENCE and time.

26 Jason Y March 13, 2011 at 5:02 pm

@Thomas – You forgot to mention the most important part, your diet. Having a clean diet is what will get you the best results.

How’s your diet?

27 Joe March 15, 2011 at 2:12 pm

Can I use Jack3d with P6 and use a fat burner like oxyelite pro?

28 Jason Y March 15, 2011 at 3:50 pm

@Joe
Hey Joe,

Yah those would be fine, but combining jack3d and oxyelite = lots of stimulants. If you are not used to taking a crap load of stimulants or just don’t want to take that much, you can try a non-stimulant thermogenic. I recently, got USPLabs Recreate, doesn’t have all the stimulants, and its working good.

29 Ilyas Ramizov March 29, 2011 at 2:21 pm

Hello can anyone help me,, i am almost 22 5’6 and 178 pounds, i am build really good, i looking for something that will make me look more cut, and i got suggest P6 extreme? is P6 will help me to lose some fat in my belly and get me more cut?

30 Jason Y March 30, 2011 at 4:15 pm

@Ilyas Ramizov
First get your diet in check. If you have trouble calculating your caloric needs read this:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=121703981

Once you have your baseline caloric needs, drop that amount a few hundred calories per day.

After that and you want supplements to aid with your weight loss, check out some fat burners like OxyElite Pro. Keep in mind that you have to have a calorie deficit to loose weight.

32 Walter April 24, 2011 at 11:00 am

I just finished a cycle of sostenon 250. Will P6 help me keep some of my gains, and/or strenght? I basically want to use it as PCT.

33 Jason Y April 24, 2011 at 8:54 pm

@Walter
Hey,
I am guessing you meant sustanon 250?

It shouldn’t be your first choice with sus 250 if you can get other compounds that better suit your needs.

Check out this thread:

34 joe May 5, 2011 at 10:45 am

I am 29 yrs old and was wondering if it would be ok to take p6 along with pink magic. I am trying to gain strength and muscle. I was told by gnc that it would be a good combination. I am also taking protein isolate, leukic, and vitamins. And of course a good diet

35 Jason Y May 5, 2011 at 11:47 pm

@joe
Hey Joe,

As far as pink magic goes, not to familiar with it. I did some searching and found this thread on bodybuilding.com
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=125890543&highlight=pink+magic

I do some more research tomorrow and write up about it

36 Jason Y May 6, 2011 at 11:42 pm

@joe
Joe, here is what I found out

37 Alex May 8, 2011 at 6:18 pm

Hey so I’m thinking about trying the p6 product. But I have a few questions and you sound like you know what your talking about. Ok so I’m about 6’2″ and weight 190 pounds. I’m 19 years old I use to weigh 275 pounds and I’ve lost 12 inches around my waist. My whole body is really cut except for my stomach cause I’ve got loose skin. I was told that this product would build muscle and build abs, sense they are muscles. I do workout intense about 5 days a week with hard cardio and hard lifting. I am starting to show abs but not nearly the results I want considering how hard I’m working on them. I eat a healthy 2000 calorie diet, using the c4 preworkout by cellucore and my diet Is mostly protien. But I am a MMA fighter and I can’t gain weight. I just wanna get cut. Is this product for me? I would super appriciate the help :)

38 Lewsant May 11, 2011 at 4:53 am

Does P6 affect the size of your penis, will it shrink during or after taking these pills

39 Jason Y May 11, 2011 at 7:25 pm

@Lewsant – No

40 Jason Y May 11, 2011 at 7:40 pm

@Alex – If your main goal is to get cut, dropping your bodyfat should be your main concern. Is that 2000 cal/day an arbitrary number or calculated based on your BMR? If you don’t know how to calculate how many calories you need read this:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=121703981

Once you got a baseline, cut that by a few hundred calories per day. Read the forum for some dieting strategies.

As far as taking p6, don’t think you need it at 19 years old. I would nail the calories first, then if you think p6 will help you can decide then. For ideas on how to preserve muscle while on your diet, check this out
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/topicoftheweek88.htm

41 PETE M May 12, 2011 at 10:39 am

I was in the gnc store on yesterday and I was offered to try p6 I’m 46 yo and I don’t work out to much but is considering starting to get back in the gym I weigh 218 and I would like to know if you think I would benifit with this product also the increase in testosterone would be greatly appreciated but will it add more energy or would it be to much for me to start out with right now?

42 joser May 14, 2011 at 10:26 am

Hey Im joser
I’m new to p6 I was wondering how many capsules do u take a day cause I only work out In the afternoon. If u can help that would be really helpful.

43 Jason Y May 15, 2011 at 4:35 pm

@joser – Hey, just follow the directions on the label. Adjust from there if need be.

44 Jason Y May 15, 2011 at 4:41 pm

@PETE M – Hey Pete,

P6 seems like a good option. However, at 46 and you think your test levels may be low, go see your doc. He/she can do a blood test and see exactly where you stand. If you are way low on your test levels, he/she can prescribe you something that will have much more profound affect than p6 will. If that’s not a route you want to take, trying p6 is not a bad option, an expensive one though. As far as energy, are you looking for energy during the day or specifically pre/intra workout?

45 Cody May 22, 2011 at 9:24 am

@Admin@Admin – Hey I wanna loose weight as well as gain strength how can I do that? And I was wondering when the best time for me to start taking p6 cause I bought it I’m 18 I’m not sure if I should start taking it yet what should I do?

46 GABRIEL May 23, 2011 at 6:26 pm

Hey, this is my thing, im 30 and been working out for 3 months, about 1 month ago i started with HemoRage Ultra Concentrated black which helps me big time at the gym, specially cause i work out early in the morning, about a week ago i started also P6 and i have notice nothing at all, no improve on my energy level and even i had to decrease the weight i have been lifting, my libido has decreased and i started a little bit of acne, which i am kind of old for. can you tell me if iam doing something wrong or if i should stop using P6?

thank you

47 Alex May 25, 2011 at 12:39 pm

Hey Jason
My name is Alex, im 19 5’11 and range from 195 to 200 lbs with like 17% BMI . I Just did Novadex XT and gained about 20 lbs, Ive been reading on Test Boosters and i know that in order to get the results i want throught Test Boosters ill need to take more than what my body is naturally producing. Ive tried Creatine Monohydrate and i dont rlly like it. I Just started Stacking 17HD with P6 and A-Bomb along with Acg3 for a preworkout. Do you think this will make me Gain weight at the same time as leaning me out. Let me know

48 Jason Y May 27, 2011 at 5:29 pm

@Cody – At 18 I don’t think p6 is necessary, but since you already bought it, what the hell…..

As far as gaining muscle while dropping bf, that is up for debate. Concentrate on one goal at a time. Keep things simple

49 Jason Y May 27, 2011 at 5:30 pm

@GABRIEL – Yes stop taking it!!!! The sides far out the benefits

50 Jason Y May 27, 2011 at 5:36 pm

@Alex – 17% Body fat? BM! does not have a % on it. BMI does not work for muscular people anyways. According to the BMI, I’m border line obese.

In my opinion, I think you are taking way to much shit. I think you are trying to develop a bad ass physique over night. However, it doesn’t work that way. Patience is your friend. The gains will come with hard work and dedication. I know that’s not what you wanted to hear. I was like you at 19. Concentrate on your training and diet. Use supplements to achieve that extra mile, not the end all be all.

52 Luis A May 28, 2011 at 8:47 pm

Is it safe to take Mega Man protein with P6 +Yok3d

53 Jason Y May 29, 2011 at 1:24 am

@Cody
I am a fan of Optimum Nutrition. I go with the all natural, but if you’re into taste go with the regular formula.

54 Jason Y May 29, 2011 at 1:27 am

@Luis A – I don’t see anything wrong with that stack

JY

55 GABRIEL May 31, 2011 at 12:41 pm

@Jason Y – What else do you recommend I take instead? I have stopped and I am back to normal, but I now want to get that extra mile.

56 Jason Y May 31, 2011 at 3:43 pm

@GABRIEL – Hey,

What are your goals? First how’s your diet? Have you tried a creatine supplement before?

57 GABRIEL June 1, 2011 at 10:44 am

@Jason Y – main goal body fat porcent below 10% and get muscle definition, my diet is low calorie, eating frequently. working out 3 – 4 days a weak for 1 1/2 hrs per workout, the only supplemets i have taken are Hemo rage UC black and P6 which I have stopped, besides that just protein shakes with oatmeal and Flax Seeds and L-Glutamine as a recovery agent

58 Pete M June 7, 2011 at 4:16 pm

@Jason Y – Basically during the day also I would like to loose some weight but would I weigh 217 and my height is 5’11.5 and I would like to loose about 30-35 pounds what would you suggest. Thanks for your response!

59 Jason Y June 7, 2011 at 5:05 pm

@GABRIEL – How is your diet progressing? How much weight you loosing a week? Check out this diet. It is the one I’m using and having good success.
http://leangains.com

For supplements, I would add a multi vitamin if you don’t think you are getting enough nutrients through food. And even though cardio sucks for weight loss, it will help you burn -500cals a week. Coffee before cardio is what I do for a boost.

60 Jason Y June 7, 2011 at 5:16 pm

@Pete M – Hi Pete,
If you are feeling lethargic during the day, that may be something you may wanna see your doc about. Sorry, I can’t be more of a help. The obvious answer would be to take some stimulants like caffeine, but there may be an underlying issue. I am making an assumption that you are feeling lethargic, if not, maybe improving your diet and sleep patterns will fix your problem.

For the weight loss and you want a done for you solution, I have heard good things about
http://www.burnthefat.com

I have not bought the product, but I have read some of his stuff and he’s legit. If you try to exit the page twice and click continue on the pop ups, you can try it out for $5. Not quite try before you buy, but close.

61 GJ June 20, 2011 at 3:07 pm

can this product cause a heart attack?
I read an article that if your testosterone is really high it may cause a heart attack. just want to make sure if this is true.
I wanna take this product but i just wanna be sure on what to expect on the side effects.
Im 25, 5’9″ weight 130 I really wanna gain some weight hopefully this will help!

62 Jason Y July 27, 2011 at 7:49 pm

GJ,
If you are concerned with that, go see your doc and make sure you are healthy enough to take it. Super high test levels are not healthy, but this product will not produce those kind of results. At that weight, concentrate on your diet first. Reach your natural limit and then try supplementation.

63 Jesse October 22, 2011 at 7:30 pm

Anyone notice sleep issues with P6?

64 Daniel October 27, 2011 at 3:11 am

I am 18 years old and Ive been working out I seem to be getting very little results.. Minor changes.
Some one told me Cellucore P6 Extreme could help gain mass, muscle and make my more toned and cut.
Is this true?
If so how long will it take?
Is there anything just as effective but maybe cheaper in price?

65 Jason Y October 27, 2011 at 11:36 am

@Daniel
Daniel,

You don’t need a test booster at your age. If you are not seeing results, I would first look at your training and nutrition. How are those?

For supplements, after you get your training and nutrition in check, you would be good with whey, creatine, and a multi vitamin.

First off, great questions and answers. I enjoyed reading them.
Second, I am 18 years old right now and when I was 17 I took P6. I know what people say “your levels are already maxed out” but I figured that even if it helped a little bit, that it would still help. I was 17 when I took it and I honestly did feel that it worked. I felt more solid all the time, especially when I would workout.

Im 25 about 5’11, 180. I was taking Jack 3D preworkout but I didnt like all of the side effects it gave me…too much caffiene. I know you have said at my age it wont do anything for you, however I started p6 a week ago and i have a lot more energy at the gym, strength has already increased and can see a visible difference in my body. Knowing that im 25, I decided to just take 1 capsule in the morning and one at night instead of the 2…at least to start. I have seen results very quickly and a higher labido (my labido was high enough as it was but now its a little absurd haha.) The only side effects I have had are that I have been eating a lot more than usual, which doesnt really bother me because I am trying to put on muscle weight. However is increase in appetite normal? The only other thing is that I have to drink a ton of water, which I assume is normal.

Thanks for the comment! What’s your training routine look like? If you are looking for a routine to get back into the swing of things, I would suggest the starting strength routine. You can either get the book off amazon or get the basics here http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/Starting_Strength_Wiki. Get your routine and diet in check first before dropping money on supps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the comment Andrew. You see any measurable results? Muscle or strength gains? Glad to hear it worked for you though.

Hey Matt, thanks for the comment. The increased appetitie could be due to the increased calorie expenditure in the gym. If you are lifting more and if you added any more volume than usual, that would cause you to want to eat everything in sight. Drink as much agua as you can.

I am 17 years old almost 18 in Feb. I havent worked out in three months because of football and i have recently just got back to the gym and have been working out as hard as before. It has been a week now and i just got my preworkout (musclepharm assault) and ive always loved the product. Assault has helped me gain alot of strength during my workouts and madde them last longer. Now i was wondering whether or not i should take the p6 to get back to where i was originally since i havent worked out in a while. I have witnessed an extreme strength loss and cant lift as heavy anymore.. The guy at the GNC said this would help get back to where i was at if i followed the cycle correctly.. I took animal test and by the 5th day it made my chest feel like it was expanding so i figured it was doing something but i had to stop the product cause football was starting and was not going to lift as much.. Now what are your thoughts even if my test levels are high would it still have any effect on getting my strength back to where i was and gaining the weight.. I also take triple xxx protein as well the gnc brand… Thoughts?

Hey Joey,
you are prolly not gonna like my answer, but here it goes…. You don’t need the p6. Instead, invest that money in some steak and potatoes. You are no where near your natural potential. Give your body quality nutrients and you will build your strength back. Stick with your pre workout, protein, and creatine if you want. Get on a tested strength/mass building program proven to produce results. I would suggest the starting strength/practical programming routine. You can either get the books off amazon or you can get all the info you need here http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/Starting_Strength_Wiki. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Now what about a prohormone? Are those even worth it or not

75 Jason Y November 3, 2011 at 12:35 pm

Originally Posted By Joey

I wouldn’t touch them unless you have reached or near your natural potential. I would say after 5 years of consistent training, you could consider them. If you do decide to take one, you can’t party on the weekends, because they are hard on your liver. Adding alcohol on top of that could put some unneeded stress on the liver. Ultimately, its a personal choice though. I haven’t researched phs in a few years so I don’t know even what’s on the market anymore.

76 Joey November 3, 2011 at 7:55 pm

So do you think at my age 17 that i should look into a prohormone? I wouldnt party or anything I could hold off from it easily.. I dont think i have reached my potential yet though.

77 Jason Y November 3, 2011 at 10:17 pm

@Joey – I wouldn’t touch it man. You still have so much room to grow naturally. Screwing with your hormones is a big decision.

78 Joey November 4, 2011 at 8:21 am

What creative should I buy and how should I use it then I don’t like it though cause you lose all of it when you stop taking it

79 Joey November 4, 2011 at 10:50 am

So if your saying i should take a creatine what one should I take you think? Remember i want to gain mass.

You can get a creatine monohydrate. Advanced formulas are just a way to get more cash outta your pocket.

I would assume not, but look at your banned substances list before taking any new supplement. You run short distances? Try taking some bicarbonate: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1045970/A-spoonful-baking-soda-DOES-speed-say-scientists.html

You can find a lot more about bicarbonate and performance by doing a google search

Eat tons of food and lift progressively heavier weights.

Hello, I’m 41 just lost 100 lbs went from 265 to 160 in 10 monthns. Just started working out a few months ago. Then guy at GNC suggested this test booster called Viridex XT, been taking it for a week now and starting to see a little difference. Looking thicker, feeling harder and lifting more. How does P6 differ from Viridex XT. Also what is the difference between P6 Extreme and P6 Black. How does either of these differ from the so-call legal steriods that you can get on the internet.

Haven’t heard of Viridex XT before reading your comment. I went to their product page and looked at the ingredient profile. Doesn’t have the mainstream test boosting ingredients in it that for example p6 does.

Gaspari claims that clinical trials were done that proved Viridex increased test and lowered cortisol levels in resistance trained men. Have not seen the studies to see if they are legit or not. Guessing that Gaspari funded the studies, you can’t rule out studies to be unbiased. Not accusing, it’s just how the world works.

I’d stick with p6 until there was more feedback on Viridex.

88 Chuck December 6, 2011 at 4:57 am

Sorry I didn’t address those : ). I pretty sure the black version was banned because had pro hormones in it. Let me know if I am wrong.

I don’t know enough about the *legal* steroids to recommend anything to you. Sorry. You can check out this: http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/ and other forums.

Hey,
No its not. It used to contain substances that are now banned. That was the old formula though. This formula has nothing that is considered a pro hormone. Just extracts. Here is the product label:

Hope that helped

@Jason Y -

No liver support needed. They directions say take an am and pm dose. So if you train in the evening, just take it either before going to the gym or after. No need to take it in the middle of your workout 30 min prior to hitting the weights.

Chris,
Even if you don’t see any measured boost in test levels, you’ll probably get some benefit from the placebo effect. So if you can’t sell it and still wanna take it, go for it.

Do I use P6 strictly on training days or do I also use it on non-training days?

104 Scott January 12, 2012 at 9:50 pm

I am thinking about taking P6, N03 and C4. Is that safe to stake those products together? Also on the warnings on the bottle of P6 its states do not take if you are pregnant. If my wife and I are trying to get pregnant is it safe to take?

Hey, I have a question. I have purchased M Drol. I have read many many forums on it and know the down falls of it. I have also purchased milk thistle, P6, and fish oil. Is P6 efficient for PCT. I don’t want to get novadex being its through prescription. Im taking P6 during the cycle and will continue to take it for a month after my pro hormone(M Drol) after. Thanks!

No. Fix your diet. Find how many calories you need to maintain your current body weight. Cut that by 10-20% depending on your current weight. Aim for 1-2lbs weightloss a week. Trying to loose more weight than that, your start to loose a lot of muscle.

Brian, I’d talk to your doc. I wouldn’t feel comfortable giving you advice with your medical history. Better safe than sorry. I wouldn’t assume there would be any issues but I’d still talk to the doc about it. Sorry I couldn’t be more of a help. The good news is the resistance training should help control the diabetes and high bp naturally.

113 Brian S. January 16, 2012 at 9:03 pm

ok thanks. it’ll take me a week to get my routine down so i got time to research it. says on the bottle not to use if diabetic but my blood sugar was 115 tonight so i’m thinking about trying it anyways, at my age i need all the advantage i can get. plus it was hard for me to add muscle last time i was working out so im hoping this will give me the boost i need.

does the P6 lower the body’s natural production of T in the long run like other T boosters?

116 andrew January 22, 2012 at 8:31 pm

im 34 years old btw. . .eat sufficient protein, chicken and broccoli most meals. just not sure if the P6 would have long term effects on my body’s natural production of t 8 years out cutting it by up to 40%

@andrew – No it won’t.

Hi, I am a 40 yo male and need to get back in shape with a mix of cardio and weights. I’m starting with the P6 for all the positives it will bring. I’m 180 with the typical “beer belly” which I want to lose but at the same time add about 10-15 lbs of muscle everywhere else. What supplements should I add to my workout program?

Hey Noah,

To loose the beer belly check this out http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=121703981

For supplements, stick to the basics: a multi, protein powder, creatine mono.
